Dr Laurent Wallace

Specialist Pain Medicine Physician

About Me

Dr Laurent Wallace is a practicing specialist anaesthetist and has undergone further training to become a specialist in pain management. He works to ensure his patients are pain free during all procedures and have effective pain management options afterwards. He utilises multimodal analgesia to reduce side effects, improve analgesia and decrease reliance on opioid analgesics. He also has an interest in per-operative clinical safety for day surgery anaesthesia.

He has a passion for helping people in pain and has a love for his family and running; he leads our team at Harmony Healthcare.

Dr Trudi Richmond

About Me

Dr Trudi Richmond is a skilled pain and rehabilitation specialist, and finds fulfilment in assisting injured workers with their return to the workforce. Drawing upon her expertise in Occupational Medicine, she leverages her knowledge for this purpose.

Dr Richmond is particularly passionate about addressing chronic musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. In the realm of rehabilitation medicine, her primary focuses encompass pre-rehabilitation, postoperative rehabilitation, and traumatic brain injury medicine.

Dr Michael Davies

Specialist Pain Medicine Physician

About Me

Dr Michael Davies received his medical education at Sydney University and pursued specialised training in Neurosurgery at Royal North Shore Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney. He undertook training in Pain Management, achieving a Masters from Sydney University and completing a Pain Fellowship through the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.

Dr Davies focuses his practice on neuropathic pain, persistent post-surgical pain, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), and pelvis pain. He performs a diverse range of interventional procedures, including radiofrequency treatment, epidural steroid injections, platelet-rich plasma injections, facet injections, and neurostimulation therapy.

Yusuf is an enthusiastic Exercise Physiologist who found his calling through his early passion for physical activity and the influence of his aunt, who is a personal trainer. His journey into healthcare was driven by a desire to help individuals improve their physical well-being and overall quality of life.

Yusuf specialises in lower limb musculoskeletal rehabilitation and strength & conditioning. With a strong focus on these areas, he is well-equipped to assist his clients in recovering from injuries and enhancing their physical performance.

Outside of his professional role, Yusuf enjoys playing soccer and exploring the great outdoors. His active lifestyle not only reflects his commitment to physical health but also provides him with valuable insights that he can apply to his work as an Exercise Physiologist.

She believes that tailored and individualised care is fundamental to assist clients overcome their injuries and achieve their health and wellness goals. Anneliese’s clinical interests lie in the musculoskeletal pain and rehabilitation, alongside the management of neurological conditions. 

In her personal life, Anneliese finds joy in a range of sport-related activities: weight-lifting, swimming, and her new-found hobby is running. She is also a foodie, and is always in the kitchen baking cakes and desserts.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, James is an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoys a wide range of physical activities, with a particular passion for Brazilian jiu-jitsu, running, and weightlifting. In addition to her personal dedication to fitness, Danielle’s professional journey is equally inspiring. She conceived the Connect Program, a unique initiative designed to bring new mothers together, offering evidence-based therapy to help them regain core function. Her program not only fosters a supportive community but also provides valuable tools for post-natal recovery.

As a mother herself to two wonderful boys, Will and Ben, Danielle intimately understands the challenges of the pre- and post-natal phases. Will’s arrival via emergency c-section and Ben’s birth through VBAC have enriched her perspective and empathy towards the experiences of new mothers.

With accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist, Danielle brings both expertise and personal insight into the field of pre- and post-natal health.

David Batten

About Me

David is a dedicated Psychologist who was inspired to pursue a career in psychology due to his desire to help people improve their quality of life. His fascination with human behaviour and thought processes, led him to focus on areas such as chronic pain, PTSD and other complex conditions, where he believes psychologists can make a significant impact.

With a Master of Clinical Psychology, a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, a Master of Business (graduated with Distinction), and several prestigious awards and recognitions, David has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of psychology. He was awarded the Edgar H Booth Memorial Prize and Medal at the University of New England, where he also graduated with First Class Honours.

In his personal life, David enjoys running, camping, and spending time in nature. He believes that time spent in nature can have a significant positive impact on mental health and overall well-being.

David’s philosophy of care is focused on a person-centred approach and the use of contemporary evidence-based strategies. He is passionate about helping people understand their strengths and using these to facilitate positive change. David’s key models in his approach to counselling include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Currently undertaking his Master of Clinical Psychology, Cameron stands poised at the forefront of advancing psychological understanding and therapeutic efficacy in the space of chronic pain and related complex conditions, where he hopes to make an impact. Cameron’s interests lie in a variety of clinical domains, encompassing positive psychology, sports psychology, adept emotion regulation techniques, and the facilitation of change for individuals grappling with depression, stress, and anxiety.

In his personal life, Cameron relishes moments to capture animals and nature with his passion for photography. He also enjoys painting when he can and is obsessed with his two puppies and believes everything can be made better with a hug from a dog. 

As a former international competitive figure skater and distinguished professional ice skater with Disney on Ice, he embodies a dedication to excellence and drive for constant skill acquisition that overflows into his professional life. He aims to continue to his education and commitment to evidence-based practices for the betterment of his clients.
